Our other babies :)

Naturally, since RaeLynn has come into the world (and if I'm honest probably before then) my puppies have taken the back burner. Yes they still get taken care of and loved on...but our baby girl has become my main focus. For those who know us, you know that our animals are a huge part of our family. Sometimes it feels like they are wayyyy to much work but in the end our life wouldn't be the same without them. I got all kinds of questions about the dogs when I was pregnant. "Aren't you going to make them stay outside?" "Oh, I bet you won't be able to keep them all..." "You have THREE dogs inside and are going to have a newborn??" Well folks, our other babies (dogs, puppies, whatever you want to call them...they're still our babies) are here to stay! They have their forever home :) So since I feel kind of bad for not giving them as much attention as I wish I could, I figured I'd snap a few pics and write about them. So...this ones for you puppies!

Of course, I could never leave little RaeLynn out! She's currently snoozing away in her swing. Which is suprising because she despised it for so long! We can't wait to watch her love on our pups as she gets older. I know she will without a doubt have a love for animals (I mean, how could she avoid it living in our house?!)

Rewind

It feels like the past few months have been in fast foward. I haven't had a chance to update the blog because...well...I just haven't had time! So, I'll take a minute to "rewind" and share.

RaeLynn is now 3 months & 4 days old. It is so hard to believe that it's been over 3 months since we welcomed our sweet girl into the world. She is absolutely the light of my life. Being a mama is  the most rewarding, fun, and exciting thing I've ever done. Don't be fooled, though. It is also the hardest, most exhausting job out there! Let me tell you, this little girl is worth every bit of the hard parts.

It's crazy how much she has changed since we first brought her home. She is no longer the always sleepy infant from those first few weeks of her life. She loves playing on her activity mat or in her bouncy chair. Recently, she has also become quite the talker. Now, obviously it's just babbling but I pretend like she's telling me the most riveting story I've heard all day because quite frankly her baby babbling is like music to my ears! It is also usually accompanied with lots of smiles.

All in all, the past 3 months have been the best of my life! Both Justin and I are head over heels in love with RaeLynn. Please pray for both of us as I start back to school this week. It is definately a challenge to get school work done while working full time and trying to spend as much time as possible with my little family. Everything we are doing is for our baby girl though! She is my motivation for finishing school and I look foward to the day that she'll get to watch me graduate from Anderson University. It'll all be worth it!
p.s. I'll try to do better keeping this updated!!
